Brief description of study

The project will estimate the prevalence of RV-associated cutaneous granulomas in normal adult population over a 15-year period and assess the frequency and intensity of virus shedding by these long-term RV carriers. These results will help ascertain the impact of long-term RV carriers that could influence the maintenance of rubella elimination in the United States.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Medical Research, rubella virus
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 99 Years
  • Gender: All

-18 years or older
-Diagnosed/identified with RV-positive granuloma with an unknown underlying cause
-OR-
-Identified by a close contact who has tested positive with RV-positive granuloma with an unknown underlying cause.
