The Comparison of Different SOC Surgical Approaches in Periodontally Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics Treatment with or without the Collagen Matrix

Brief description of study

PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION: The main objective of this study is to clinically and radiographically compare the periodontal phenotype (hard and soft tissue) post orthodontic movement on surgical sites using a corticotomy-facilitated bone augmentation approach. We will compare sites grafted with collagen matrix and allograft bone graft material (test group) to the surgical sites grafted with allograft bone only (control group). Both procedures are standard of care (SOC) forms of accelerating tooth movement in orthodontics To clinically and radiographically compare the periodontal phenotype (hard and soft tissue) post orthodontic movement on surgical sites grafted with collagen matrix and allograft bone graft material (test group) and to the surgical sites grafted with allograft bone graft material only (control group). The buccal bone volume will be evaluated by the DICOM file through routine CBCT evaluation at baseline and at the end of the orthodontic treatment. The periodontal phenotype (soft tissue, hard tissues, and teeth) will be assessed at the beginning and the end of the orthodontic treatment as routine. The periodontal phenotype (i.e., tissue thickness, amount of the keratinized tissue, the color of the gingiva, clinical attachment level, recession, probing depth, mobility, consistency, and the buccal bones morphology) will be reviewed by clinical and radiographic examination. The merged image of the DICOM file from CBCT and STL file from the intra-oral scanner will be applied to analyze the soft and hard tissue phenotype. Soft tissue phenotype: - Gingival color: Evaluate by clinical examination - Gingival thickness: Evaluate through the imagine subtracted from CBCT and intra-oral scan. Clinical examination will also be used. - Amount of Keratinized tissue: Evaluate by clinical examination Teeth - Probing depth: Evaluate through clinical examination - Gingival recession: Evaluate through clinical examination - Clinical attachment level: Evaluate through clinical examination - Bleeding on probing: Evaluate through clinical examination - Tooth mobility: Evaluate through clinical examination
