The EPIC Study: Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications Study

Brief description of study

The EDIC Study is a follow-up study to the Diabetes Control and Complications Trail ( DCCT) conducted between 1983- 1993. The primary aim of the EDIC Study ( for years 2017-2022) is to examine the prevalence of cognitive, affective, and physical impairments in T1DM, and the association of DCCT treatment arm, glycemia, and established and putative non-non-glycemic risk factors on domains of aging.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Between 18 Years - 99 Years
  • Gender: All

Volunteers who, between 1983 and 1993, participated in the DCCT, and currently participate in the EDIC study.
