Hi-DEF: Psychometric Validation Study for the Huntingtons Disease Everyday Functioning Scale

Brief description of study

This study wants to learn more about the impact of Huntington’s Disease (HD) on cognition and everyday functioning. Cognition refers to mental abilities you use to complete tasks that require memory, planning, and organizing information. Participation will take approximately thirty minutes for a one-time screening and an additional two and a half hours, including a one hour break, if patient is eligible to take the one-time-only Study Tests.

Tests will be completed in the subjects home using their own electronic device.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Huntingtons Disease
  • Age: Between 25 Years - 65 Years
  • Gender: All

Criteria including but not limited to:
1. HTT gene positive mutation carrier;
2. Total Functional Capacity (TFC) score > 8 or investigator-confirmed cognitive changes;
3. Are able to read and respond to questionnaire items in English
Participants must meet none of the following criteria to participate in this study:
1. Have an ongoing neurological condition other than HD that in the opinion of the investigator may be impacting the patient’s current cognitive or motor symptoms or
2. Have a history of neurosurgical intervention or significant head injury
