A Translational and Neurocomputational Evaluation of a D1R Partial Agonist for Schizophrenia

Study Overview

The purpose of this research is to test an experimental drug PF-0641252 as a possible treatment for early-course schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder or related psychotic disorder.

This study will test whether PF-0641252 can help thinking and memory in people with schizophrenia.

Study Description

The study involves 7 in-person visits, including an initial intake visit, 5 scan visits, and 1 follow up visit, as well as a brief phone check in 1 month after completion of the study. An investigational medication is taken prior to the scan on each of the 5 scan visits. An intravenous catheter is placed to obtain blood samples for medication levels. In addition to medical assessments, subjects will participate in clinical interviews, cognitive assessments, and MRIs. Total compensation is up to $1,455.
