Magnetic Resonance Imaging of NAD+ changes at 7.0 T

The purpose of the study is to examine the changes in energy generating molecules of the body after giving a nutraceutical supplement NR, likely to induce changes in the molecules of the body including NAD+. Changes in brain, skeletal muscle and liver NAD+ will be determined by MRI and MRS methods using a MRI machine. The MRI procedure will be performed in healthy adults (male and female) in the age group of 18-80 years. Persons with any chronic disease will not be included in the study. Determining the changes in NAD+ in healthy persons will allow us to understand the levels of this molecule in normal health. Such findings will help us to evaluate the NAD+ in different disease conditions and also in aging in future, and may have clinical benefits. The product will be used in humans only.
