Development of a Goal-Directed Behavior App: Changing Apathy into Action in Neurodegenerative Disease

Development of a Goal-Directed Behavior App: Changing Apathy into Action in Neurodegenerative Disease

Brief description of study

This is a study about creating a new mobile phone app to help people with behavioral variant Frontotemporal Degeneration (bvFTD), Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), or Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) manage symptoms. You are being invited to participate in a research study because you are either a patient with FTD, AD, or MCI, or a caregiver of a person with FTD, AD, or MCI.

Detailed description of study

Many people with behavioral-variant Frontotemporal Dementia (bvFTD) or Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) have problems with doing things to reach their goals for everyday activities. We are doing this study to create a mobile phone app to help with this problem. We think that the app will work best if we get input from people with bvFTD, AD, and MCI and the people who care for them. We are not sure if the mobile app will be helpful to people or not. By taking part in this research study you can help us learn how it might be helpful or not.
