Functional Research on Emulsifiers in Humans (FRESH)

You are invited to participate in a research study at the University of Pennsylvania. Researchers will examine the effects of emulsifiers on the bacteria that live in your body. This study will require you to stay at the Hospital of the University of Penn (HUP) for 11 days, eat study meals for the 11 days you are at HUP, provide stool, blood and urine samples, and have 2 oral glucose tolerance tests and 2 flexible sigmoidoscopies. While you are staying at HUP all food and beverages will be provided and you will have access to WIFI and cable TV. Study participants will be paid $3300 for completion of the study
