Patients' Views on Research Participation in Cancer Clinical Trials

Patients' Views on Research Participation in Cancer Clinical Trials

Brief description of study

The purpose of the study is to learn more about what patients involved in cancer clinical trials perceive to be beneficial or burdensome about their participation and how benefit and burden and other factors influence decisions to remain enrolled in research. There are several parts to the study: 1) one-time, mailed questionnaire that can be completed and returned to us in a self-addressed stamped envelope 2) you can participate in a follow-up, in-depth interview following questionnaire completion and/or if you withdraw from your ACC clinical trial; and 3) and complete a repeat survey on the benefits and burdens only to determine if your thoughts have changed on research participation.

Detailed description of study

Eligibility to participate in this research study requires that you are currently enrolled, or have been enrolled (completed and/or withdrew from your trial) at the Abramson Cancer Center. You may also be asked to participate in a follow-up interview after you have completed the questionnaire.
