RURAL Heart and Lung Study
Brief description of study
People living in impoverished counties in the rural South have the lowest life expectancy in the United States, and the highest mortality rates due to heart, lung, blood and sleep disorders, stroke, and cancer. RURALs innovative design seeks to overcome these challenges with its unique study design that brings resources (a health clinic on wheels) directly into the community as well as via community engagement efforts prior to recruitment and enrollment.
