Brief description of study
A knowledge gap exists regarding social determinants of overdose deaths compared to nonfatal overdoses, and a lack of understanding on polysubstance use's role in overdoses. Project aim is to create a sub-registry from multiple sites' collection of clinical information on patients who present to the ED with overdose. Blood will also be collected for lab testing. We will conduct structured interviews including data on product/substance type and detailed drug use and social history.
