Brief description of study

The Serenity N.O.W. (New Opportunities for Wellness) study is a voluntary research study that investigates whether an 8-week, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program can improve symptoms of stress, depression, and inflammation in adults living with HIV.

Detailed description of study

If you are eligible and decide to participate in Serenity N.O.W., you will be asked to: provide baseline assessments of blood work, complete online surveys, participate in an 8-week stress management class, provide a pre, post, and 3-month follow-up assessment of blood work and complete online surveys

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Depression, Depression, HIV infection
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 65 Years
  • Gender: All
